Presentation 2 Designing Scalable Preservation Cyberinfrastructure for the Management of Billions of Archival Records We present novel work for a national curation and preservation "computational archives" infrastructure that demonstrates digital curation services (legacy data conversion and metadata extraction) and customizable curation workflows, based on the Apache Cassandra NoSQL distributed database, and an industry-standard cloud storage API (Cloud Data Management Interface – CDMI).
